Using the site means accepting these
AnyFormat is operated by ZW Studio LLC. Using the tools means you accept the terms on this page. If you do not, the remedy is simply not to use them — there is nothing to cancel and no account to close.
The tools carry no warranty
Keep your original file. That is the practical version of this section and the only sentence in it worth memorising.
Every converter here is provided as is. We make no promise that a conversion will succeed, that the result will be correct, or that it will be fit for whatever you intend to do with it. File formats are messier in the field than in their specifications, and a converter that handles a thousand files correctly can still be the reason the thousand-and-first comes out wrong. Check the output before you rely on it, and before you delete anything.
Where a conversion has known limits, the tool's page says so in specific terms rather than hiding it here — what is lost, what cannot be represented in the target format, and where the ceiling is. That is a better protection than a disclaimer, and it is where you should look first.
The files are yours, and so is the responsibility
You need the right to do what you are doing. Converting a document, a photograph, an ebook or a recording that you do not own or have permission to use is your decision and your liability, and it is not one we are in a position to check — your files never reach us.
Nothing here removes or circumvents copy protection. Ebook tools refuse DRM-protected files by design rather than by accident, and that is not a limitation we intend to remove.
What you may not do
Do not use the site to process material that is illegal to possess or distribute where you are. Do not attempt to interfere with the site or use it as part of an attack on anyone else. Do not represent the tools as your own product or imply that we endorse something we have not seen.
Automating the site for bulk use is not forbidden, but it is not supported either — the conversion runs on your machine, so you are only ever consuming your own resources, and the batch and folder support built into the tools is a better route than scripting the page.
Availability
No uptime is promised. The site is static files on a content delivery network, which makes it more reliable than most things, and it is also why a page you have already visited keeps working with the network switched off. An outage here is unusually survivable, but it is not impossible, and tools may change or be withdrawn without notice.
Advertising
The site is funded by advertising served by Google. Advertisements are selected and delivered by Google and its partners, not by us — we do not choose the individual adverts, cannot vouch for the advertisers, and have no part in any transaction you enter into with one. Clicking through takes you to a site with its own terms, and those are the ones that will apply to you there.
What advertising can and cannot see is set out on the privacy page, along with how to switch it off. Nothing on this site is gated behind accepting it.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ZW Studio LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site — including lost data, lost profit, or the cost of redoing work. This is the ordinary limitation, and it sits alongside an ordinary fact: no money changes hands here, and the conversion happens on your own machine rather than on ours.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusions above. Where that is so, they apply only as far as that jurisdiction allows.
Changes
These terms may change. The date under the heading says when they last did, and a change that affects you will be described in specific terms rather than summarised as an update to our terms.
